The Hassan II Mosque is located on the coast of the city of Casablanca, so named because of its construction during the reign of the late King Hassan II

Its construction took six years, starting with the grandeur and grandeur of the mosque's style, making it one of the most comfortable and dazzling places for tourists, especially when he reads that this mosque was designed to be the largest mosque in Africa.

The Hassan II mosque, its spacious square, and its towering silo are designed by the French engineer, Michel Pinseau

The mosque is distinguished by its huge construction, unique design and wonderful decorations inspired by the Arab-Andalusian-Moroccan architecture, which you may find similar to if you visit the churches of Spain.

It began to be built in 1987 AD, and it was completed on the night of the Prophet’s birthday on Rabi` al-Awwal 11, 1414 AH / August 30, 1993, during the reign of King Hassan II of Morocco.

The prayer hall, with an area of 20,000 square meters, can accommodate 25,000 worshipers, in addition to 80,000 worshipers in the courtyard. The mosque has modern technologies, including an automatic roof (it opens and closes automatically) and laser beams with a range of up to 30 km in the direction of Makkah.
